Welcome to Day 13 of 25 Days of Prayer! As we grow closer to Christmas Day, I am thinking of those who may be far from their families or even broken hearted. I wanted this prayer today to be especially for you! I want to encourage you to press towards the joy that is freely yours. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Prayer to Freely Receive the Joy that is Already Yours:

Dear Father in Jesus name, we thank you for the gift of joy that You freely give to us and we receive it whole heartedly. Father, I lift up to You the person reading this prayer today. I pray that their joy increases in this season no matter what they may be enduring. Lord, I ask that the true gift of joy is expressed in their heart and that they see the evidence of Your hand in their life. I pray that they find their joy in You and fill up to overflowing abounding in Your love. Father, let no darkness overtake their mind. I ask that Your truth overtakes any feeling of loneliness or sadness. Fill this person up with Your hope, peace, and joy. I ask for a special blessing over this person in this season to remind them that You are near to them and joy is already theirs. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

A word of Encouragement:

Joy is all yours. Receive it today. Breathe it in today. Do not look at what’s not. Look at what is. What are a few good things in your life? (Write them down and meditate on them). Think on what is good. It is easy to become consumed in what seems to be missing. Believe that you have everything you currently need in this season and what’s missing will be restored to your life. God has a plan (Jeremiah 29:11). In the meantime, choose joy for it is a choice and it is yours. I love you.

We Praise You Lord! I ask that this prayer be sealed into Heaven. We thank you, Lord, for You are Faithful, You are Good, You are Righteous. I Praise You Lord. YHWH! Adonai! Elohim! Yeshua! Lord, Jesus Christ.

Shalom
