Welcome to Day 6 of 25 Days of Prayer! Today we are lifting up engaged couples in prayer. During courtship and engagement is a time to get a head start in covering your union and soon to be marriage in prayer. You have proposed to her and she has said yes! Congratulations on your journey to becoming one. This is a process and my prayer is that you have grace with one another and enjoy growing together as one. (Read Genesis 2:24). Let us pray!
Prayer for Engaged Couples:
Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this sweet couple to you in prayer. I thank you Lord for ordering their steps to come together as one. I ask that You cover this couple and give them the grace they need as they enter into marriage. Father, I thank you that they have grace to leave behind former things and step into this new life that You have for them, marriage. (Read Isaiah 43:19 and Genesis 2:24). Father, I pray that You will give them insight and understanding of how to make their unique union remain faithful, joyful, peaceful, loving and strong according to Your word. When this couple is tested, I pray that they come to You Lord Jesus in prayer and to not give up on the promises that You have for them. Father, I pray that they are patient and kind towards one another. I pray that they are selfless and never hold a grudge. I pray that they always forgive one another and keep hope and love the center of their union as Your word says in 1st Corinthians 13:4-7. I pray that this couple abides in You so that You may abide in their union and their foundation is strong and unshakable. I now speak a blessing on this engaged couple. It is in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. It is so. Amen.
Encouraging Word:
Place God first, choose what is good, what is right, what is true and extend grace when it’s needed. By God’s will this union will flourish and be blessed.
Philippians 4:8-9 “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me- practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
We Praise You Lord! I ask this prayer be sealed into Heaven. We thank you Lord, for You are Faithful, You are Good, You are Righteous. I Praise You Lord. YHWH! Adonai! Elohim! Yeshua! Lord, Jesus Christ!
Shalom
