Welcome to Day 5 of 25 Days of Prayer! Today we are covering Husbands and Wives. We are speaking God’s word over the role of each individual ensuring the equipping, maturity and love is exhibited in each covered husband and wife. Are you ready? Let us pray.

Prayer for the Husband:

Father, In the name of Jesus, I lift up to you today those who are husbands. Father, I thank you that You have placed this man in this role as a husband. I thank you Lord that You have equipped him to be a God-fearing man and husband to his own wife. Father, thank you for Your word Ephesians 5:25 which calls a husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church and give himself up for her. Father, I supplicate for divine understanding of this scripture to flow into the very being of this man just as you breathed Your very breath into his lungs. I thank you father that this man is also gentle and kind to his wife and treats her with love and respect (Read Colossians 3:19). Father, I thank you that You are the Head of this husband leading him daily, as he is the head of his wife and leads her through Your wisdom which he seeks. I thank you Father in the name of Jesus that he speaks the word over his wife and covers her in prayer (Read Ephesians 5:26). I thank you Lord that he seeks You for understanding and wisdom in all he does on behalf of his household. I speak Your blessing over this man and pray that he continues to seek You and place You first in his life and in his marriage. It is in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, I pray. It is so. Amen.

Prayer for the Wife:

Father, in the name of Jesus. I lift up to you today those who are a wives. Father, I thank you that You have placed this woman in this role as a wife. I thank you Lord that You have equipped her to be a God-fearing woman and wife to her own husband. Father, thank you for Your word in Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife, finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord”. I thank you Lord that she is her husband’s favor. I thank you that her husband recognizes her worth as she is far more precious than jewels (Read Proverbs 31:10). I thank you Lord that because she believes in and represents You she draws her husband closer to You through her faith (1 Peter 3:1-2). I thank you Father that this woman shows respect to her husband and submits to him with love (Read Ephesians 5:22). I speak Your blessing over this woman and pray that she continues to seek You and place You first in her life and in her marriage. It is in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, I pray. It is so. Amen.

An encouraging word:

Continue to pray for one another in love and always have the same grace towards one another that God has for You. When we think about how Christ loves us (He forgives us, has grace towards us, heals us, builds us up, speaks to the Father on our behalf, loves us and made a major sacrifice for us). I believe the goal for marriage is to show that same love that He has shown to us. The reason we must have grace is because we are human and will not always get it right or be perfect. In having grace for one another, we must also encourage each other to grow closer to Christ becoming more like Him.

Seek the Holy Spirit when you need specific answers/instruction and He will always guide You according to God’s will and perfect plan.

To those who are desiring to be married, sit tight I have a prayer for you as well in the upcoming days. You can also pray this prayer in advance for your future union. God bless always.

We Praise You Lord! I ask this prayer be sealed into Heaven. We thank you Lord, for You are Faithful, You are Good, You are Righteous, I Praise You Lord. YHWH! Adonai! Elohim! Yeshua! Lord, Jesus Christ.

Shalom

Britt Annie Nicole – Written for His Glory. In the name above all names – Jesus Christ.
